New optical sensor measures organic load in water
How high is the organic load in water? ProMinent’s new DULCOEYE SAC optical sensor answers this question directly within the process. It measures absorption at 254 nm and enables the correlation of the summary parameters SAC, UVT, COD, BOD, TOC and DOC. This provides operators of waterworks and sewage treatment plants with real-time information on treatment performance, enabling them to control their processes more safely and efficiently.
A long-life UV LED delivers precise measurement results: the sensor operates in accordance with the DIN 38404 standard. Depending on the level of contamination, users can choose between three optical path lengths for high, medium and low levels of contamination. The DULCOEYE SAC can be used in immersion or bypass armatures, allowing it to be integrated into existing systems. A compact flow reservoir reduces water consumption, whilst an automatic cleaning wiper with a replaceable wiper blade ensures stable measurement values and minimises maintenance requirements.
The DULCOEYE SAC designed for seamless integration with the DULCOMETER diaLog C, which auto-detects the sensor and simplifies commissioning. ProMinent offers the sensor as a stand-alone product or mounted on the pre-assembled DULCOTROL SAC panel.
